Regularities and Prospects of the Social Transformation In the 21st century, society undergoes the process of profound transformation. The scientific analysis of the societal transformation being underway in the world and in Russia is necessary in order to substantiate a long-term strategy of socio-economic, innovative-technological and ecological development. This undertaking should be based on academic heritage of Nickolai Kondratieff, Pitirim Sorokin and other Russian and foreign scholars, who laid down the "cornerstones" of postindustrial paradigms of social science, as well as on contemporary achievements of Russian and world social and economic thought. This is the principal goal of the 5th International Kondratieff Conference "Regularities and Prospects of the Social Transformation" which will be held in Saint-Petersburg on October 19-22, 2004. Conference Fee: 250 USD for participants and 150 USD for family members or other escort persons. The conference fee shall cover, set of conference materials and publications, simultaneous interpretation, coffee-breaks and lunches during the conference, attendance of welcome reception, and transfers. The costs of travel costs and hotel accommodation are to be paid by participants themselves.
